That's apparently been the case with appliances and furniture at Land Trust properties while Clayton's opponent was the organization's Treasurer & President.

The Land Trust would install brand new appliances so the building would pass the Certificate of Occupancy inspections.

Then, they'd whisk those appliances away and install them in the next building to be inspected.

Whomever ended-up moving into the earlier units, got stuck with substandard appliances.
